Nice hot summer day and got a few more chores done.

Where are we today ?
Now the weather is clearing up and hot what we enjoy. Not for everybody but we do like the heat. Temps into the lower 90's (32C) and really feels like summer time now. Nice walkabouts in the shade enjoying this. Then ran a quick errand to Forest for a few needed supplies, and back home for a bite to eat for lunch.
They are doing more work here in the park, larger parking area and redoing some sites I believe.
After lunch Suzie sorted the laundry and I headed into Arkona to let the machines do their magic on three loads while I suffered reading my book in the car. It's a tough job ya  know. While I did that Suzie did the big cleaning of our house (day before we hit the road). I returned with clean laundry, and puttered around a bit more.
After things were done I whipped up a Four Bean Salad, that we have been craving. For the recipe you can click HERE. it is very tasty and so easy to make.
we have a good supply of this for a while
A few more things done then relax in the shade (enjoying our books) for a little bit before firing up our Weber Q . Gonna grill a whole chicken. And as usual turns our perfect everytime. Spray with Olive oil and rub with some chicken spice set right on the preheated grill (15 minutes on high) turn to low setting. close the lid and no peaking for an hour. Internal temperature 185f after about 70 minutes = perfect!
moist chicken , not burnt and crispy skin
Then I added that to a nice green salad and some bean salad, we had our fill and lotsa leftover chicken for whatever we feel like.
yummy
That was our fun day here in the sun and shade. In the morning "on the road again" yippee, not far , couple hours, heading to "Camp Awesome" again for a while.
Thanks for the visit and really hope you enjoyed your summer day too.

  2. We don't like it hot and we don't like it cold. We like it just perfect. Sounds like the day was perfect for you.

  4. I am going to try that bean salad George. It looks like the one my mother used to make with cooked beans but oh, so much simpler! Yummy!

  5. You're pretty energetic making that bean salad yourself. We cheat and buy big jars of it at Costco.

    1. Not really Rick, only takes about 5 minutes to throw it together and much cheaper too.
We enjoy this more than the store bought one and know whats in it.
