A few more things done, visit Suzie's Dad, mow the lawn , dip in the pool and a tasty supper. just the two of us here, wonderful !

Where are we today ?
clic on a pic to enlarge it.
A very nice and very warm morning,  gotta get my walkabouts done early (7 am) as so did many other people in the village. Stopped by Pettigrew's Garage and chatted with a few people I have not seen in quite a while. Finally home by 9 and took Suzie to New Hamburg so she could help her Dad with a few computer issues, while I picked up a few supplies.
Home for an early light lunch then I can finish mowing the yard here. It was hot but had a nice breeze. Only took me an hour and all done, them time for a refreshing dip in the pool. Sure is nice here ! Lawn mowing done by 1:30.
This is today's weather 81f but with the humidity feel like 97, really not too bad at all we only got one swim in the pool today. And of course we do not have air conditioning unless we need it , but did not feel the need. Just have to fire up our generator and we can have air .
As predicted we did had some heavy rain for about 10 minutes, cooled things down for a bit then warmed right back up. Skies cleared and the sun was shining again.
10 minutes of rain
skies cleared and wonderful again
But the bonus is enjoying our E-readers outside in the shade, we both enjoy a good read.
Then as usual time to whip up supper. Tonight a couple of bone in pork chops, some garlic bread on the grill. Added to a salad and some cantaloupe.
hot dog buns work for garlic bread
Tasty and filling again
Then a wonderful relaxing evening out side enjoying the peace and quiet here along with some wonderful summer weather while we can take advantage of it. And about 8:30  we had a friend Debbie stop by for a visit, its been a while but we do run into each other a few times a year. As she said they used to come into my restaurant for fish and chips on a regular basis,  and I closed it over 17 years ago! We have known each other for a long time.
Hope you had a wonderful day as well and thanks for stopping by.

  3. You must have a great fish and chips recipe for that kind of loyalty. WOnder if you could make them on your Weber?

    1. My fish was hand battered in a commercial deep fryer that everyone seemed to love, don't have those facilities anymore.
