Just hanging out enjoying this wonderful weather and pot of chicken noodle soup.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
A great nights sleep as always (don't remember the last time that I didn't)  Up bright and early waiting for the sunrise, but a no show, not worth seeing it was overcast  and cloudy but warm in the low 50's to start the day. Right away I set the chicken bones on to simmer making a nice broth for our chicken noodle soup. I let them do their stuff then strained the bones added a bit more chicken and spices to simmer for another hour or so until it was just right.
a cloudy sunrise
While the soup did its thing I got myself a few few early morning walkabouts around this familiar Texas campground just enjoying the quiet and fresh morning air. Then a quick trip again for the rest of our food supplies , we needed, only a mile or so down the road to Dollar General and Brookshires.
now our soup was done and we enjoyed a tasty bowl
for lunch, few more lunches here yet
sure did  the trick today
A couple more walkabouts checking out the park , loving these warm sunny days.
a nice chapel here
Now most of our afternoon we got to enjoy in this wonderful sunshine 73F and we have a nice spot with no wind, perfect! Shorts today for sure.
nice views
Afternoon was a perfect day for shorts, no complaints here. this is why we are here.
enjoying our e-readers
full-time sites right behind us
all in sun shelters
Eventually was time to whip up supper, tonight gonna fry up a couple of cod fillets in our fry Daddy and even try a couple of ocean scallops as well. just because I can an we have some.
our fry Daddy does a great job
it all turned our perfect, perfect fish and the scallops amazing
We had planned to go to Waco and check out a few things and visit the Dr pepper museum again , but found out that this is March break here and they are excepting big crowds, think we will do it another time, Opps, last year we were here a week later, better planing next time, maybe. No problem we can just hang out here, it os so nice anyway.
Back in March 2012, (wow was it that long ago?), seems like yesterday,  When we were here we took a drive to Waco Texas and checked out the Dr pepper Museum, click this link HERE to read about it, sure was fun tour. Hope we can go back again!. They have done a lot of changes since then.

  1. What is a Fry Daddy? You picked the right spot to spend some time. We are experiencing a couple of cooler days, but it's sunny which makes all the difference.

    1. The Fry Daddy is the small electric deep fryer that I used for the fish bought at Walmart here in the states years ago,
The weather here is pretty good right now but it will cool down a bit soon.

  3. The thing is that spring break changes every year based on when Easter is. Hard to plan sometimes.

    1. Spring break here is next week but Easter is not until March 30th, We have found that it does vary from state to state and even province to province in Canada they don't all take spring break at the same time.

  6. Do you save the oil from your Fry Daddy? I just found a fryer on the bottom shelf in my kitchen .... waaaaay in the back. Thinking of using it because everything you cook in yours looks delicious!!

    1. Yes Nancy I keep the oil in my fryer for months, I don't use it that often. In my restaurant I changed it once a week and worked just fine and I did a lot of frying then.
I use canola oil and does a great job.

  7. Your chicken soup looks awesome as always! Dinner too! Looks like your enjoying your time there. You and Suzie usually get to places early, you don't think if you got to Dr Pepper when they first open it wouldn't be too bad? Enjoy!
